I thought I'd show some of the products we've (me and Nick) have sold recently. From the EU shop, Teaandcakes got herself a longsleeve with the To knit or not to motive. Also available in the US shop (a few postings down here's a competition with a prize of 5$ discount on anything in the shop).
I'm so excited! As you may know, I am a relatively new knitter, and have never yet knit a 'bigger' item like a sweater or cardigan (except for a baby cardigan) Somehow I just don't get round to it, even though I'd like.
Well, I thought I'd start with small steps. So I cast on Hug.
I reconed it's a garment, almost like a cardigan, but not as big and intimidating. Plus I really like it and will need someting like that for my always-cramped showlders.
I have been very productive this weekend! I finished two projects, the Danica scarf and the String bag, both relatively new projects, meaning they have not waited on the needled months and months. I am pretty proud of myself how they turned out, and that I actually finished (finished! Like darning in the ends and all!) two projects in a weekend.
The Magic Toyshop by Angela Carter was an experience. Not a book I would read or listen normally - I picked it up from the library because I had decided to try something new for a change. Well, this was something else.
I have a problem. I joined a knitalong , where the point is to take the ugliest / most non-inspiring yarn you have, and knit something nice from it. The problem is, I haven't a clue what to do with it!
